Welcome to Gather
Welcome to Gather ("Gather," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Gather mobile application, website (including gatherinvites.com), and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Gather.
If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with parental or legal guardian consent.
You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. Description of Service
Gather is a digital event invitation platform that allows users to:
- Create and manage event invitations
- Share event links with guests
- Collect RSVP responses
- Customize event covers and details
- Access related features provided within the app
Gather does not host physical events and is not responsible for the execution, safety, or outcome of any event created through the Service.
3. Accounts
You may use Gather as an authenticated user (via email or third-party login) or in limited functionality as an anonymous user.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate information
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to Gather, including event titles and descriptions, images and cover selections, location information, messages, and RSVP responses.
By submitting content, you grant Gather a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, process, and reproduce your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You are solely responsible for your content. You agree not to upload or share content that:
- Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, or obscene
- Infringes intellectual property rights
- Violates privacy rights
- Contains malware or malicious code
We reserve the right to remove content at our discretion.
5. Event Responsibility Disclaimer
Gather provides tools for organizing events. We are not responsible for:
- Event attendance
- Guest behavior
- Venue issues
- Cancellations
- Financial transactions between hosts and guests
- Any damages or injuries occurring at events
All event logistics and responsibilities remain solely with the event host.
6. Guest Access
Guests may access event pages without creating an account.
Guests are responsible for:
- Providing accurate RSVP information
- Not abusing event pages
- Respecting host communications
Hosts are responsible for how they use guest information.
7. Payments & Subscriptions
Certain features may require payment or subscription. If you purchase a subscription:
- Payments are processed via third-party providers (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe)
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
- Refund policies are governed by the payment provider's terms
Gather reserves the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.
8. Intellectual Property
All rights in the Service — including software, branding, logos, design elements, and generated cover templates — are owned by Gather or its licensors.
You may not copy, reverse engineer, distribute, resell, or exploit any part of the Service without written permission.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for illegal activities
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access
- Interfere with Service infrastructure
- Scrape or harvest data
- Use automated systems to overload the platform
- Send spam invitations
We reserve the right to suspend access for violations.
10. Service Availability
We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee continuous availability, error-free operation, or permanent storage of content.
We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or as required by law.
You may stop using Gather at any time.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gather shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, loss of profits, event-related damages, or personal injury arising from events organized through the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Gather harmless from claims arising from your content, your events, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
14. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice.
Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
